The Abava Valley is the valley of the Abava River across the Talsi, Tukums and Kuldiga municipalities of Latvia, in the historical Kurzeme region. Following its inclusion on the World Monuments Fund Watch List of endangered heritage sites, Latvia designated it a specially protected cultural territory in 1996 and submitted it for the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2005.
