The Otztal is an alpine valley in Tyrol, Austria, followed north to south by the Otztaler Ache river, and separates the Stubai Alps from the Otztal Alps. The valley is 65 kilometers long, reaching its northern end near the confluence of the Otztaler Ache and the Inn river, and its southern end, called the Gurglertal, at the border with Italy. Five municipalities lie along its length, and tourism built around ski resorts is its main industry. The Otztal Glacier Road, which climbs into the valley's upper reaches, is the highest paved road in the Alps.
