Logar Valley is a valley in the Kamnik Alps, in the Municipality of Solcava in northeastern Slovenia, a textbook U-shaped glacial valley covering about 24.75 square kilometers. It divides into three sections along its length: the lower Log, the wooded middle section called Plest or Plestje, and the upper wooded area with scree slopes known as Kot or Ogradec. The Savinja River rises within the valley from an ice-cold spring at an elevation of 1,280 meters and flows on to Rinka Falls, and the valley is ringed by eight named peaks, the highest being Planjava at 2,394 meters. About 35 people live on isolated farmsteads scattered through the valley, which was granted protected status as a landscape park under IUCN Category V in 1987.
