Klostertal, meaning cloister valley, is an alpine valley in Vorarlberg, Austria, branching east from the district capital of Bludenz for about 30 kilometers to the Arlberg and the Tyrolean border. Covering 193.6 square kilometers with roughly 4,700 people as of 2017, it comprises the independent communities of Klösterle am Arlberg, Dalaas, and Innerbraz along with the Bludenz-administered towns of Bings, Radin, and Außerbraz. The Lechquellen Mountains rise to its south and the Verwall Alps to its north, and the Alfenz river runs its length from Stuben am Arlberg to its meeting with the Ill at Bludenz. The valley floor climbs from about 600 meters in the west to 1,400 meters in the east, and the 1,793 meter Arlberg Pass at its head has long been the shortest route linking Tyrol and Vorarlberg.
