The Fassa Valley is a valley in the Dolomites in the Trentino region of northern Italy, administered as a valley community and home to much of Trentino's Ladin-speaking population, whose language and culture remain strong there and whose place names appear in Ladin alongside Italian. The valley sits among Dolomite peaks including the Marmolada, the range's highest summit, in terrain characterized by the distinctive limestone geology for which the Dolomites are known. Six municipalities make up the valley, Canazei, Campitello di Fassa, Mazzin, San Giovanni di Fassa, Soraga di Fassa and Moena, with San Giovanni di Fassa itself containing several smaller frazioni.
