The Chesterfield Islands are a French archipelago of New Caledonia in the Coral Sea, about 550 kilometers northwest of Grande Terre. The group stretches 120 kilometers by 70 kilometers and consists of eleven uninhabited islets and numerous reefs with a combined land area of less than 10 square kilometers.
