Cervantes Islands

The Cervantes Islands are a small archipelago of three islands off the coast of Western Australia, southwest of the town of Cervantes in the Shire of Dandaragan, about 180 kilometers northwest of Perth. The largest, North Cervantes Island, covers about 284 hectares and rises to a maximum of 8 meters, while the smaller Middle and South Cervantes Islands measure 0.45 and 0.71 hectares. Part of the Turquoise Coast island chain and lying within the Jurien Bay Marine Park, the islands were declared a nature reserve in 1968 and support a population of Australian sea lions.
