The Brixental, meaning Brixen Valley, is a southeastern side valley of the Tyrolean Lower Inn Valley in Austria, about 30 kilometers long, meeting the Inn valley near Wörgl. It lies in the Kitzbühel Alps and is drained by the Brixentaler Ache, its main river. The valley's landscape is characterized by smooth, mostly wooded mountains, with the Hohe Salve reaching 1,828 meters and the Gampenkogel reaching 1,957 meters. In its lower reaches, between Westendorf and Hopfgarten, the Ache flows through a narrow gorge that only the federal road follows, while the railway line branches away at the Windau bend.
