Meteorology

Processes studied under meteorology, the atlas's discipline for short-term atmospheric conditions and weather. Includes Atmospheric Circulation, the large-scale movement of air around the globe driven by uneven solar heating and the Earth's rotation, that generates wind belts, weather systems and the transport of heat and moisture between regions. Belongs here: a process whose primary discipline is the short-term behavior of the atmosphere and weather systems. Does not belong here: a long-term climate process studied over years and decades, even one meteorology's own circulation patterns feed into (Climatology).
