Minquiers

The Minquiers are a group of islands and rocks about 15 kilometers south of Jersey in the English Channel, forming part of Jersey's Bailiwick and administratively assigned to Grouville Parish. The surrounding rock shelf covers a larger area than Jersey itself, though only a handful of the main rock formations stay above water at high tide. The largest islet, Maîtresse, carries about ten stone cottages, said to be the most southerly buildings in the British Isles, though nobody lives there permanently.
