Islands of Europe

This group collects the Islands and Archipelagos subcategory's members that lie in or off Europe, from the skerries and holms of Scandinavia and the Baltic to the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland off Scotland, the Frisian Islands of the North Sea, the Channel Islands and Brittany's own island chains off France, and the many small archipelagos of the Mediterranean from Croatia's Adriatic coast to the Greek and Italian islands. It is the largest single region in this subcategory, reflecting how much of the atlas's named island and archipelago content was sourced from European coastal geography, and stays under this pass's own group-level threshold without a further split.
