Islands of Antarctica and the Southern Ocean

This group collects the Islands and Archipelagos subcategory's members in Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, including islands and glaciated archipelagoes of the Palmer Archipelago and the sub-Antarctic Kerguelen and South Georgia island groups. These are the coldest and most remote members of the subcategory, several charted only in the twentieth century, and distinct from every other region here by lying south of the other continents' own coastlines rather than off one of them.
