The Isles of Scilly are a small archipelago off the southwestern tip of Cornwall, England, in the United Kingdom. One of the islands, St Agnes, lies more than four miles further south than Lizard Point, the southernmost point of the British mainland, and holds Troy Town, the UK's southernmost inhabited settlement. The archipelago had a population of about 2,100 at the 2021 census, concentrated mainly on St Mary's, and has held its own local authority, the Council of the Isles of Scilly, since 1890.
