The Wipptal, or Wipp Valley, is an alpine valley running between Innsbruck in Tyrol, Austria, and Franzensfeste in South Tyrol, Italy. The Brenner Pass, at 1,374 meters, divides it into a northern Austrian section, followed by the Sill river, and a southern Italian section, followed by the Eisack river. The valley carries the Brenner Autobahn and the Brenner railway, and its Italian portion forms the Wipptal district of South Tyrol province.
