Valleys and Depressions (filed here)

This group collects members of the Structural and Tectonic Formations subcategory that are named valleys rather than mainland tectonic structures in the narrower sense: valley landforms whose formation is tectonic or structural in origin but whose own name and character read as a valley. Like the islands and archipelagos group above, this reflects a genuine mixing this atlas's group-level work found live in the subcategory's actual membership, kept honest and visible here rather than silently absorbed into another group, without itself moving these entities to the Valleys subcategory, which is a separate content decision.
