Vegaoyan, known in English as the Vega Archipelago, is a group of about 6,500 small islands in the Norwegian Sea in Nordland county, Norway, mostly within Vega Municipality and lying just south of the Arctic Circle. The archipelago surrounds the main island of Vega, has been inhabited since the Stone Age, and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004; its other larger islands include Igeroya, Ylvingen and Sola.
