The Valley of the Seven Castles is an informal name for the Aischdall, the valley of the Eisch river in central Luxembourg, stretching from its confluence with the Alzette upstream to Steinfort on the Belgian border. The valley takes its name from a chain of seven castles that line its route, Mersch, Schoenfels, Hollenfels, Ansembourg Castle, the New Castle of Ansembourg, Septfontaines and Koerich Castle, and can be followed along a 37-kilometre footpath as well as by car.
