Val Roseg is a valley of the Swiss Alps on the north side of the Bernina Range, in the canton of Graubünden in the Engadin region. It is drained by the Ova da Roseg river, which flows into the Inn at Pontresina, and most of the valley lies within the municipality of Samedan. Its upper reaches carry significant glaciation, including the Roseg and Tschierva glaciers, and the lake Lej da Vadret formed at the foot of the Roseg Glacier during the twentieth century. The valley's braided river system has been the subject of ongoing research into the effects of climate change on alpine biodiversity since the late 1990s.
