Val Colla is a valley and urban quarter of Lugano, in the Swiss canton of Ticino, northeast of the city center, encompassing the Lugano localities of Bogno, Valcolla, Certara, Cimadera and Sonvico as well as the separate municipality of Capriasca. It contains the Cassarate River and its headwaters, and is bounded by Monte Bar and Monte Gazzirola to the north, the San Lucio Pass to the east, which connects to Italy Val Cavargna, and Cima di Fiorina and Denti della Vecchia to the south.
