Strathnaver, or Strath Naver, is the fertile strath of the River Naver, a noted salmon river flowing from Loch Naver to the north coast of Scotland. The name is also used more broadly for an ancient province known as the Mackay Country, once controlled by Clan Mackay and extending over most of northwest Sutherland.
