Sirius Passet is an Early Cambrian fossil deposit in the remote Peary Land region of northern Greenland, preserving soft bodied marine animals in fine mudstone roughly five hundred and eighteen million years old, among the oldest Cambrian sites of exceptional preservation known. Its isolation and difficulty of access have limited excavation, but the specimens recovered have proven important for understanding the earliest diversification of animal body plans during the Cambrian explosion.
