The San Blas Islands are an archipelago of approximately 365 islands and cays off the north coast of the Isthmus of Panama, east of the Panama Canal. Of these, 49 are inhabited. The islands lie within the comarca of Guna Yala along Panama's Caribbean coast and are home to the Guna (Kuna) people.
