The Roncal Valley is a valley in the Pyrenees at the eastern edge of Navarre, Spain, bordering Aragon to the east and France to the north. The Ezka River flows north to south through the center of the valley before joining the Aragón River, and the valley today functions as a mancomunidad of seven municipalities, including Roncal, Isaba and Burgui-Burgi, with a combined population of about 1,266. It was historically home to the Roncalese dialect of Basque, whose last native speakers died in the 1970s and 1980s, and the valley remains known for artisan Roncal cheese and Pyrenean hiking trails.
