Oisans is a region of the French Alps formed by the roughly 70 kilometer long glacial valley of the river Romanche and its tributaries, spanning the departments of Isère and Hautes-Alpes. It takes in parts of five major massifs, Belledonne, Taillefer, Grandes Rousses, Arves, and the Écrins, and its peaks include Pic Lory at 4,088 meters and La Meije, long nicknamed the Queen of the Oisans.
