The Mingan Archipelago lies east of Quebec, Canada, made up of a chain of roughly 40 islands and, within the wider Mingan Archipelago National Park Reserve, more than 2,000 islands and islets stretching about 109 miles along the north shore of the St. Lawrence River. The archipelago includes Ile Niapiskau, known for its limestone monoliths, and its islands sit within a roadless coastline reaching from Havre-Saint-Pierre eastward toward Newfoundland and Labrador.
