Lapporten is a U-shaped valley just outside Abisko National Park in Swedish Lapland, in Norrbotten County near Kiruna, and is regarded as one of the most recognizable natural sights in the Swedish mountains. Carved by glacial ice during past ice ages, the valley is framed by the peaks of Nissuntjarro at 1,738 meters and Tjuonatjakka at 1,554 meters, with Lake Cuonjajavri lying at 950 meters within it. The terrain is easy to walk despite having no marked trails, and the valley lies within the Nissuntjarro Natura 2000 protected site. In 2019 four German highliners set a world record there, crossing the 2.1 kilometer gap between the mountains on a slackline more than 500 meters above the ground.
