The Kitsissut Islands are an uninhabited chain of small islets and rocks in the Labrador Sea off southern Greenland, in the Kujalleq municipality, about 60 kilometers west-northwest of Cape Farewell and 15 kilometers south-southeast of Cape Egede. The chain stretches less than 30 kilometers long and 8 kilometers wide, divided into a Northern Kitsissut group and a smaller Southern Kitsissut group, and reaches a maximum height of 101 meters. Its largest island, Angissoq, measures about 3.7 by 3 kilometers and carries a beacon on its central peak. The islands have a tundra climate with brief cool summers and long, severely cold winters, and a mean annual temperature of about 1 degree Celsius.
