Glencree is a glacially shaped valley in the Wicklow Mountains of County Wicklow, Ireland, the third-closest valley in the range to Dublin, through which the River Dargle flows down from about 400 meters. Its Irish name, Gleann Crí, derives from the older Gleann Criothach, valley of the shaking bog, and the glen was historically heavily wooded with oak as a royal forest, reputedly the only one in Ireland; the village of Enniskerry sits at its foot.
