Glen Shira, from the Gaelic Gleann Siara meaning glen of the eternal river, is a valley in Argyll and Bute in western Scotland, at the northern end of Loch Fyne just north of Inveraray. The River Shira runs the length of the glen for about seven miles before draining into Loch Dubh and then Loch Shira, a small inlet of Loch Fyne, and the glen is designated a Special Area of Conservation bordered by the peak of Beinn Bhuidhe. It remains a settled valley with sheep farming and homes reached by a single-track road.
