The Glen of Aherlow is a valley in the western part of County Tipperary, Ireland, running about 13 kilometers east to west between the Slievenamuck ridge to the north and the Galtee Mountains to the south, and drained by the River Aherlow. Lisvarrinane is its principal village, with Galbally, Kilross and Bansha nearby. The seventeenth century historian Geoffrey Keating is said to have preached in the glen and compiled part of his history of Ireland, Foras Feasa ar Eirinn, there around 1634.
