Gjáin is a small valley in the Þjórsárdalur region of southern Iceland, marked by small waterfalls, ponds and volcanic rock formations. The river Rauðá runs through the valley and forms the waterfall Gjárfoss, and the site lies about a thirty-minute walk from the historic farm Þjóðveldisbærinn Stöng.
