Dob's Linn is a small, steep valley in Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland, just north of the A708 road between Moffat and Selkirk. It lies within the Grey Mare's Tail Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, and is traditionally said to take its name from Halbert Dobson, a covenanter who took refuge there from government troops during the Killing Time in the late seventeenth century.
