Curlew Valley

Curlew Valley is a valley about 23 miles (37 kilometers) long and 10 miles (16 kilometers) wide on the northern edge of the Great Salt Lake, spanning Box Elder County in northern Utah and extending into Oneida County in southern Idaho. It lies between the Raft River Mountains to the west and the Hansel Mountains to the east, adjoining the Locomotive Springs Wildlife Management Area and the salt flats along the lake edge, with Curlew National Grassland to the northeast. Deep Creek flows through the valley from southwest to northeast, and Interstate 84 crosses it diagonally, linking the valley settlements, including Snowville in Utah and Stone and Holbrook in Idaho, to Brigham City.
