Cot Valley lies half a mile south of St Just in west Cornwall, England, and enjoys a notably mild microclimate; its stream reaches the Atlantic Ocean at Porth Nanven. The valley holds a small settlement and a youth hostel, and carries the ruins of former tin mining works. It is now a wildlife destination, with Cornish choughs, buzzards and seals recorded there, and dolphins and basking sharks occasionally seen offshore.
