The Cocora Valley is a valley in the Central Cordillera of the Andes, in Colombia's Quindio Department, named for a Quimbaya princess whose name means star of water. Since 1985 it has formed part of Los Nevados National Natural Park and is the main home of the Quindio wax palm, Colombia's national tree.
