The Barossa Valley is a region in South Australia about 60 kilometers northeast of Adelaide, formed by the North Para River and covering roughly 912 square kilometers with a population of around 25,066 across towns including Nuriootpa, Tanunda and Angaston. It is internationally known as a major wine producing region and tourist destination, with a heritage shaped by German and British settlement beginning in the 1840s.
