Barnett Glacier

Barnett Glacier is a large glacier in the Anare Mountains of northern Victoria Land, Antarctica, rising northeast of Drabek Peak, fed by McElroy Glacier from Tapsell Foreland, and flowing east along the south side of Tapsell Foreland into Smith Inlet south of Cape Moore. It was mapped by the United States Geological Survey from surveys and US Navy aerial photographs of 1960-63, and named by the US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names for Donald C. Barnett, a USGS topographic engineer who worked on the Topo East and West surveys of 1962-63 that extended geodetic control from Cape Hallett to the Wilson Hills and from the Beardmore Glacier through the Horlick Mountains.
