This sector is one of the most intensively surveyed parts of Antarctica, close to the long-running United States and New Zealand research stations at McMurdo and Scott Base, which is why it carries a large share of the parent group's named glacier features even though it is only one coastal sector of the continent.FactsBrowse BySourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)FactsComparisonContinentWell-attestedAntarctica 1Browse ByAll Ross Sea RegionRoss Sea Region42 entriesRoss Sea RegionFilter Results42 entriesFormation FamilyAllGlaciers of Antarctica (42)Ross Sea Region (42)Formation TypeAllRoss Sea Region (42)WhereAllAntarctica (24)Australia (12)Canada (1)Ross Dependency (6)Formed By (Process)AllErosion (2)Glaciation (39)Protected StatusAllInternational Treaty Protected Area (38)Locally or Regionally Protected (2)DisciplineAllGeomorphology (4)Glaciology (37)Show ResultsBrowseCompareSelect all 42Ahern Glacier (Antarctica)Glaciers and Ice FormationsAmundsen GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksAtka GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksAxel Heiberg GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksBarnett GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksBarwick ValleyGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksBenson GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksCalkin GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksCanada GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksCarlyon GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksDarwin Glacier (Antarctica)Glaciers and Ice Formations2 linksDrygalski Ice TongueGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksEast Antarctic Ice SheetGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksErebus GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksErebus Glacier TongueGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksEvans Piedmont GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksFalkner GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksFerrar GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksGough GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksGutenberg GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksKirkby GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksKoettlitz GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksLennox-King GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksLeverett GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksLiv GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksLowery GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksMackay GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksMarsh GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksMawson GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksMcMurdo Dry ValleysGlaciers and Ice Formations10 linksMulock GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksNimrod GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksNursery GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksOdell GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksPriestley GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksReedy GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksScott Glacier (Transantarctic Mountains)Glaciers and Ice Formations2 linksShackleton GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksSkelton GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksTaylor GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksTaylor ValleyGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksTucker GlacierGlaciers and Ice Formations2 linksSources1.
