The Aspe Valley is a valley in the French Pyrenees, in the department of Pyrenees-Atlantiques, forming one of three historic valleys of upper Bearn between the Ossau Valley to the east and the Baretous Valley to the west. It stretches about 25 miles along the Gave d'Aspe river from the town of Escot north to the Spanish border, where it connects with the Aragon Valley, and thirteen communes lie along its length between Escot and Urdos. The traditional language of the valley is Gascon, a regional variety of Occitan, reflecting its distinct Pyrenean cultural identity within southwestern France.
