Adalen is the valley of the Angerman River in Kramfors Municipality, Sweden, downstream of Junsele, most often understood as the broad, densely populated, fjord like stretch near the river mouth. The valley is best known in Swedish history for the Adalen shootings of May 1931, a violent clash that remains a defining event in the country labor history.
