Lava Tubes and Lava Formations

This group collects the Volcanic Formations subcategory's members whose own description identifies them as a lava tube, lava flow, lava field, lava dome, lava lake, volcanic fissure or flood-basalt-scale feature such as Iceland's Laki fissure, the constructive and flow-related volcanic landforms produced directly by moving or pooled molten rock rather than by an explosive eruption or a standing volcanic edifice. Two well-known lava caves, Giant's Causeway and Fingal's Cave, are filed by their more specific columnar-basalt jointing in the Columnar Basalt Formations group instead, so this group holds the subcategory's remaining lava-flow and lava-tube features.
