All Valleys of Scandinavia

This child group collects Valleys of Europe members located in Scandinavia, principally Norway, Sweden and the Nordic region generally, including glacially carved valleys and named erosion surfaces of the Scandinavian Mountains. These valleys share a common glacial and periglacial formation history distinct from the Alps' own tectonic and glacial combination, which is why Scandinavia is kept as its own regional child group rather than folded into the larger central European group.
