The scientists whose primary documented field is long-run climate pattern, reconstruction or modeling: James Hansen, Wladimir Koppen, Charles David Keeling, Eunice Newton Foote and Guy Stewart Callendar among them, plus Reid Bryson and Syukuro Manabe (each a founding figure of climate science proper despite a Meteorologist co-label) and Svante Arrhenius (the 1896 carbon dioxide greenhouse calculation is his defining earth-science contribution despite a Physical Chemist occupational label) and Klaus Hasselmann and Susan Solomon (climate modeling and stratospheric ozone chemistry, both climate-defining work).
