Sanjaasurengiin Oyun is a Mongolian geologist and politician, born January 18, 1964. Trained originally as a geologist, she has served as a member of Mongolia' s State Great Khural (parliament) since 1998, later serving as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2007 to 2008 and as Minister of Environment and Green Development. She founded and leads the Civil Will Party, established in March 2000, and now heads the Zorig Foundation. On June 24, 2014, she was elected the first president of the United Nations Environment Assembly.
