Lågskär, Swedish for low skerry, is a small island in the Åland archipelago of Finland, part of Lemland municipality, lying about 24 kilometers south of Mariehamn in the Sea of Åland. The main island covers 61 hectares and is marked by rock stacks, sea cliffs and rocky shores, with mixed vegetation at its center and a small sandy beach on the northwest side. Uninhabited since its lighthouse was automated in 1961, it is protected as an Important Bird Area and Ramsar wetland site, and its 1920 lighthouse, notable for an early rotating gas light, stands near the wrecks of the German battleship SMS Rheinland and the Soviet submarine S-7.
