Castle Hill is a limestone rock formation on the South Island of New Zealand, near State Highway 73 between Springfield and Arthur's Pass at about 700 meters elevation, within the Kura Tawhiti Conservation Area. The site imposing array of limestone boulders resembles a weathered old castle, which gave it its name, and the same limestone was quarried to build the front of Christchurch Cathedral. The outcrops are now a leading destination for bouldering and rock climbing on the South Island.
