The Western Islands are a group of islands in the Bismarck Archipelago of Manus Province, Papua New Guinea, lying north and west of Manus Island in the Bismarck Sea. The group includes Aua Island, Wuvulu Island, the Hermit Islands, and the Kaniet Islands, also called the Anchorite Islands, and is covered in tropical rainforest spanning several distinct ecoregions.
