Viedma Glacier is a large valley glacier that forms part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field at the southern end of mainland South America. Its moraine rich terminus flows into the western end of Lake Viedma, which the glacier's melting ice primarily feeds, and it lies along the undefined border between Argentina and Chile, with its Argentine portion inside Los Glaciares National Park, a World Heritage Site since 1981. It is one of 48 outlet glaciers of the 13,000 square kilometer ice field that each cover more than 20 square kilometers.
