The Suru Valley is a valley in the Kargil District of the Union Territory of Ladakh, India, drained by the Suru River, a tributary of the Indus. Its most significant town is Sankoo, and the valley supports horses, yaks and other animals. It experiences heavy snowfall and avalanches in winter, and its literacy rate is low compared with other parts of Ladakh.
