Soon Valley

Valleys

The Soon Valley, also known as the Soon Sakesar Valley, lies in the northwest of Khushab District in Punjab, Pakistan, extending from the village of Padhrar to Sakesar, the highest peak of the Salt Range. The valley is 35 miles long with an average width of 9 miles, covering about 310 square miles, and contains a number of lakes, waterfalls and natural pools. Its 5,010-foot peak, Mount Sakesar, is the only mountain in this part of Punjab to receive winter snowfall and once hosted the summer headquarters of three district administrations as well as a Pakistan Air Force radar station.
